Chick Rescue Privacy Policy
Effective date: October 18, 2026
LUMEN LAB ("we") makes the mobile game Chick Rescue (Android and iOS, "the app") and runs the website chick-rescue.lumenlab.page ("the site"). This policy explains what information is handled and how.
At a glance
- The app has no accounts or sign-in. We do not collect your name, email address, phone number or other personal information in the app.
- Your game progress is stored only on your phone.
- Ads are served by Google AdMob. Google collects device information such as the advertising ID directly (section 3).
- On iOS, the advertising identifier (IDFA) is used only if you choose "Allow" on the tracking prompt (section 3).
- In-app purchases are processed by Google Play (Android) and the App Store (iOS). We never receive card numbers or other payment details (section 4).
1. Information the app stores on your phone
- What: game progress (cleared levels and stars, village and nest, daily challenge stamps, achievements, sound and vibration settings, purchased items).
- It is never sent to us. It lives in the app's private storage, which other apps cannot read.
- If Android auto backup is on, it may be included in your Google account backup; on iOS it may be included in your device backup (such as iCloud Backup). You can turn backup off in your device settings.
- Uninstalling the app or clearing its data deletes it.
2. Information we handle ourselves
| Purpose | Data | Retention |
|---|---|---|
| Confirming purchases and handling refunds | Order details that Google Play and the App Store show us (order number, item, payment status) | As kept in Google Play Console and App Store Connect under each company's policies. We do not copy them elsewhere |
| Answering your emails | Your email address and message | 1 year after we reply, or right away if you ask us to delete it |
| Launch news | The email address you send from (and anything you write in the email) | Deleted right after we send the launch email, or right away if you ask us to delete it |
3. Ads (Google AdMob) and automatically collected data
The app shows ads with Google AdMob (Google Mobile Ads SDK). Google collects and processes the following directly. We do not receive or store it; we only see aggregated AdMob reports (impressions, earnings).
- Collected by: Google LLC
- Data (as published in Google's Android and iOS data disclosures, checked October 2026):
- IP address (may be used to estimate general location)
- App interactions (app launches, taps, ad video views) and advertising data (such as ads you have seen)
- Diagnostics (app and SDK performance: launch time, hangs, energy use, crash logs)
- Device identifiers: on Android, the advertising ID and app set ID; on iOS, the advertising identifier (IDFA, only if you allow tracking) and app- or developer-scoped identifiers
- Purposes: showing ads, measuring and analyzing ad performance, preventing fraud
- Encrypted in transit with TLS.
- Retention and processing follow Google's policies: Google Privacy Policy, How Google uses information from sites or apps that use its services
- Ad content is limited to the PG rating.
App Tracking Transparency on iOS
- On iOS, using the advertising identifier (IDFA) for personalized ads requires your permission. On first launch, Google's consent tool (User Messaging Platform) shows a short explanation, followed by Apple's tracking prompt (once per install).
- If you choose "Ask App Not to Track", the IDFA is not used. The Google Mobile Ads SDK does not send the IDFA in ad requests, and you will see non-personalized ads. The game works the same.
Your choices
- Android: reset or delete your advertising ID in Settings > Google > Ads.
- iOS: turn tracking on or off for this app any time in Settings > Privacy & Security > Tracking.
- In the European Economic Area, the UK and Switzerland, Google's consent form (User Messaging Platform) appears on first launch. You can change your choice any time with "Privacy choices" in the game settings.
- The "Remove ads" item removes ads between levels. Rewarded ads (for hints or stars) only play when you choose them.
4. In-app purchases (Google Play and App Store)
- Payments are processed by Google Play on Android and by the App Store (Apple) on iOS. We never receive card numbers or other payment details.
- To confirm a purchase, the app uses the purchase information the store provides (item ID, purchase token or transaction details) on your phone only. It is not sent to us (we have no server).
- Google Privacy Policy, Apple Privacy Policy
5. The site (chick-rescue.lumenlab.page)
- The demo board's sound and vibration settings are saved only in your browser (localStorage) and never sent to us.
- Visit statistics: Cloudflare, which hosts the site, adds a small script to each page for visit statistics (Cloudflare Web Analytics). It collects things like the page address, the previous page address, how long the page took to load and the browser type, and it does not use cookies. We only see aggregated numbers (visits, most viewed pages and so on) in Cloudflare.
- Launch news email: "Get launch news by email" opens a new message with the subject filled in, in the mail app on your phone or computer. The site itself stores and sends nothing when you tap it. We only get your email address if you send that message. We use it only to tell you about the launch; see the table in section 2 for how long we keep it.
- Other services: the site is hosted by Cloudflare, which processes connection data such as your IP address to deliver the pages (Cloudflare Privacy Policy). The site has no cookies, sign-in or ads, and the demo boards do not send your results anywhere.
6. Sharing
- We do not sell or share your personal information with third parties.
- Ad data is collected by Google directly (section 3); we do not pass it to Google.
- We use the services below to run the site and receive email. Both are US companies, so this information may be processed on servers outside your country (such as the US).
| Service | What it does for us | Information involved |
|---|---|---|
| Cloudflare, Inc. | Hosts the site and its visit statistics; forwards email sent to contact@lumenlab.page to our mailbox | Connection data, visit statistics (section 5), the address and content of emails you send |
| Google LLC | Keeps our mailbox (Gmail), where your questions and launch news emails are stored | The address and content of emails you send |
- This information travels encrypted over the internet when you open the site or send us an email, and is kept as described in section 2. If you do not want your email to be transferred this way, do not email us; we then cannot answer you or send you launch news.
7. Your rights
You (or your parent or guardian) can ask us at any time to access, correct, delete or stop processing your personal information by emailing us below. Information we do not hold (on-device progress, ad data processed by Google) can be managed in your device settings and your Google account.
8. Children
The app is not directed at children. We do not knowingly collect personal information from anyone, including children, in the app.
9. Security
We do not keep app users' personal information on any server. The app communicates using encryption provided by the operating system (HTTPS). Only we can access emails you send us.
10. Permissions the app uses
Android
| Permission | Used for |
|---|---|
| Internet, network state | Loading ads, purchases |
| Advertising ID (AD_ID) | Ads (Google AdMob) |
| Billing | Google Play purchases |
| Vibrate | Game effects (can be turned off in settings) |
| Wake lock, foreground service | Background work scheduled by the ads SDK |
| Basic phone state (READ_BASIC_PHONE_STATE) | Added by the ads SDK; reads basic state such as network type only (not your phone number or call history) |
iOS
| Permission | Used for |
|---|---|
| App Tracking Transparency | Asks whether the advertising identifier (IDFA) may be used for personalized ads. The game works the same if you decline |
On both Android and iOS, the app does not use location, contacts, photos, camera or microphone permissions.
